ARC: Not Safe for Work by Nisha J. Tuli

I absolutely love Nisha J. Tuli’s writing style. I was a big fan of The Trial of the Sun Queen—the only book I’ve read in that series so far (though the rest are sitting in my Amazon cart as we speak). So, when I had the opportunity to receive an ARC of the audiobook of her new novel, Not Safe for Work, I was beyond excited.

If you’re looking for a fun read to bring to the pool or pack for your summer vacation, add this one to your list.

The Short & Sweet: The story follows Trishara and Rafe. Trishara is an engineer stuck in a company that’s still operating under a “man’s world” mentality. Rafe? He’s the boss’s son—a stereotypical nepotism baby in Trish’s eyes. Even though she hates to admit it, she’s always enjoyed keeping her eyes on him.

After a disastrously bad (literally criminal) office romance, Trish has sworn off dating anyone from work. So even if she did have a thing for Rafe, it’s never going to happen. Right?

When the company announces a competitive leadership retreat—where attendees could earn year-long placements in major hubs like NYC or Miami—Trish is convinced she won’t be picked. Rafe, of course, will be. It’ll likely go to one of the usual white, wealthy, nepo-manchild types who dominate the upper ranks.

But then… Trish is selected.

She requests a suite, but apparently wasn’t specific enough—because she ends up sharing one. With Rafe. And of course, there are no other rooms available.

This is where the real adventure begins.

I won’t spoil anything, but be ready for twists, turns, spice, and surprisingly emotional moments. This book will have you feeling all the feels—and craving desserts. Why desserts? Well… you’ll just have to grab a copy and find out.
