Lumebox

Lumebox

I was influenced.

We were in the middle of winter and the lack of sun was definitely getting to me. I know a lot of people suffer from depression and lower energy in the winter due to the limited light. So I started researching, trying to figure out what the best option for me would be. I wanted something that could help imitate the suns light for the mood improving benefits, but to also help with the increased body pain I feel during the colder months.

I decided Red Light might be the way to go. As someone who looks into just about everything for treating her chronic illness, I'd already been introduced to the idea of red light therapy by my holistic/functional doctor. We'd discussed the benefits people were seeing in their immune system, as well as their hair & skin. We also discussed the more close to home things like it potentially helping lower my inflammation. I score off the charts in my labs for inflammation. Like leave your initials on the arcade machine high scores.

I stumbled across the Lumebox on social media. I, sometimes, can be easily swayed by people's reviews and opinions, so I sent it to my husband. His level of research into products makes me look like a complete novice. The Lumebox came back approved by him, not only because he found it to be a quality product, but because he liked what was coming out of the studies around red light. So, we went ahead and ordered one.

I know it isn't as big as some of the competitors, but based on our space, it's perfect. After about 2 weeks of using it, I decided to order the stand because during a flare up, sometimes I just can't hold things in my hands easily and my arms get tired easily. My face cleared up significantly within the first 2 weeks of owning it and using it daily. I honestly, wasn't expecting that to be the case. I have rosacea (or so that's what they think it is) and due to my CPAP, I get horrible pimples around where the mask touches. The irritation and acne cleared. I began using it on my thyroid, because I have hashimoto's, and I'm not saying this is 100% related, but my most recent ultrasound was the first one that I didn't have to go in for a biopsy after.

Sometimes I shower with it shining through the glass of the shower. Other times I sit with it shining on my hands and other areas of my body that get stiff and painful.

Is it an immediate cure? Nope.
Do I think it helps? I have no doubt that it's helping me.
Was it worth the investment? For me, absolutely.
